Volunteer Coordinator

Position: Volunteer Coordinator

Commitment: Some physical presence required

Less than 10 hours per week

 

The purpose of the Volunteer Coordinator is to make volunteer opportunities available to our volunteers by creating and sending newsletters.  Following up to make sure all events and programs are staffed whenever volunteers are needed.  Recruit volunteers using social media.

  • Use Mailchimp to create and send out Volunteer Newsletter 1 to 2 times per Month.
  • Set up event related sign-ups online.
  • Communicate with volunteers and make sure events are staffed
  • Help recruit volunteers
  • Send a welcome email to all new volunteers and schedule a call to discuss their interests.
  • Send out and post Volunteer recruitment including the Volunteer Interest form
  • Work with Data Manager to keep the volunteer roster accurate.
  • Keep the Volunteer Sign up’s updated by deleting old dates and adding new dates.

Information Coordinator & Data Manager (ICDM)

Position: Information Coordinator & Data Manager (ICDM)

Commitment: No physical presence required

Less than 5 hours per week

  • Saving communications with donors so we can send a thank you letters.
  • Downloading contacts from Zeffy and uploading them to Mailchimp based on selected preferences (signed-up to receive the Newsletter, signed-up to receive volunteer opportunities)
  • Go through FFNC’s Mailchimp database and weed out bots that have signed up in the past then maintain an accurate audience.
  • Go through FFNC’s Facebook audience and weed out bots.
  • The ICDM will receive all Volunteer Interest forms and will make sure they are added to our volunteer roster.
  • The ICDM will receive the “Contact Me” request from our website and respond accordingly.  Sending responses or forwarding to the appropriate person.
